The concept behind eco-trekking will be explained, along with the ethics of tourist hiking and how to limit as much as possible the environmental impact of a hike.
Our itinerary will allow us to discover this area of great naturalistic interest that was very important in the past for its strategic position.
The duration of the trek is about one and a half hours (roundtrip), difficulty level: “easy”.
Please bring gloves and bags to collect garbage,
a few extra bags will be available on site.

Tasting (by reservation only) of “fregnacce alla sabinese”: homemade pasta with tomato sauce and olives, a typical dish from Sabina.
In keeping with the theme, a selection of “astronomical” beers will be available, each named after a planet in the solar system.
For those who prefer to bring their own food, they can opt for a picnic in the surrounding area which is vast and welcoming.

After dinner, in the same area, a candle light concert for guitar and voice will be held by guitarist and composer Fausto Ciotti who will perform hits by artists like James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills Nash & Young and the Eagles.

Astronomitaly experts will take on the theme of light pollution, explaining the causes and giving useful advice on how to limit this serious phenomenon.

We will offer the opportunity of an astronomical observation with the powerful professional telescopes of Astronomitaly. Well-known astronomers will guide us in the observation of the stars, planets and constellations, reminding us that “we are sky and earth”.
